POETRY
She, but she
My first friend and forever protector
paved the way
fought the battles.
stood her ground
knew I tattled.
built a wall
kept me safe.
hid her room
gave me place.
stings with words
tells the truth.
hides her hurt
holds my hand.
hates pretense
dreams of escape.
seeks the sun
sits in red tape.
loves a few
eludes many.
defends her own
will atone.
is forever
always will be.
Here’s my simple 15-minute after-work routine that helps me continually improve.
