I heard an author promoting his book Exercise (I think that was the name?) and he talked about the invention of the chair. I think he said it was a sign of royalty and being hoyty-toyty.

And if we did sit. We perched on stools. Except the elite.

He debunked the myth of sitting killing us. He said it was the lack of movement — never before did we need to exercise because we used to expend so much energy to find food through foraging mostly.

Okay I’m rambling. 😂 loved this — me always pondering weird things like this.
